Something I painted up while trying out Art Rage 2. Yeah, yeah, I know, the subject matter is blah. I was just trying to get the feel for the program which isn't bad considering it's only $25.

Spandex Boy

Blue pencil sketch I did early last year. Again, messing around with tones in the uniform. And, no, I don't own a pair of these spandex.

Stubby

A practice in drawing up a character sheet. Did two versions, but eventually ended up with the one with the legs.

Aquatic

This guy is my rendering of an aquatic soldier. I was concentrating on the helmet and trying to make it have a shell-like feel to it.

Faces

Some quick face drawings. Pencil & Ink.

Scorpion

Being a big Mortal Kombat fan at the time, I drew up my version of Scorpion. Actually, my favorite character was Scorpion's nemesis, Sub-Zero, but ol' Scorpy was just too cool with his spear-on-a-rope! Maybe one day I'll draw Sub-Zero... This was inked using a combination of using an ultra-fine flair pen and ultra-fine Sharpee marker.

Sticks

One of my early sketches. This guy I just called "Sticks". My main reason for sketching him was to experiment with how to shade and highlight the dark colored costume. I used a kneaded eraser to slowly pull out the highlights. Ebony pencils worked great to get the extreme darks.
